men and tenants of the manor of Archenfield, Heref (Irchinfeld alias Arcenefeld) was granted an exemption from murage dated 5/2/1596.

Wording
843 5 Feb 1596. Order, that the men and tenants of the manor of Irchinfeld alias Arcenefeld, Heref, (who are found to be tenants in ancient demense by a certificate sent into Chancery by the treasurer and chamberlains of the Exchequer), may be quit from the toll, pontage, murage and passage concerning their goods throughout the whole kingdom and also from contributing to expenses of knights of Parliament according to the custom of England, as tenants in ancient demense, and from assize juries or inquests except in the court of the aforesaid manor. {mm. 17-18}
