Rue, Somme (Rue) was given a grant of murage dated 27/5/1281.

Licence for the burgesses and commonalty of the town of Rue for their relief and the repair and maintenance of the walls to take, for four years, in the sale of their wines on each 'lottus,' one halfpenny of Paris beyond what they have hitherto been wont to receive; and vendors are to be compelled, if necessary, by the mayor and échevins, to pay it.
