Grant in mortmain to the mayor and commonalty of the town of Newcastle on Tyne, in consideration of the great expenses they have sustained in the safe-custody and defence of the town and the surrounding parts and in resisting the rebels, of the manor of Bicar in Bicar, co. Northumberland, and all lands, rents, services, advowsons of chapels, meadows, pastures, woods, turbery, moor and fisheries late of Henry, last earl of Northumberland, in Bicar, in the king's hands by the forfeiture and rebellion and by reason of an act in Parliament at Westminster, 4 November, 1 Edward IV. By K. and for 30l. paid in the hanaper.
