Pardon, with the assent of the council, to the king's lieges of Newcastle on Tyne, in consideration of their great labours and costs on the safe-keeping of the town and their losses in ships and merchandise, and the destruction of the adjoining country, of a moiety of the sum due to be paid by them for the tenth and moiety of a tenth granted to the King at the last Parliament at Gloucester, amounting to 100l.
