Letters patent dated at Westminster, 26 April, 12 Edward III. {A. D. 1338}, granting to the Mayor, Sheriffs, and citizens of London the right to take certain custom on merchandise entering the City, as set out, in aid of the City's enclosure (in auxilium civitatis claudende), for a term of five years.
