De villa Gloucestrie claudenda.—H. Dei gratia rex Anglie etc. dilectis et fidelibus suis probis hominibus Gloucestrie, salutem. Sciatis quod concessimus vobis in auxilium ville vestre Gloucestrie claudende, ad securitatem et tuitionem ejusdem ville simul et partium adjacentium, quod capiatis in villa Gloucestrie a die Sancti Johannis Baptiste anno regni nostri xvj usque in tres annos,
de qualibet caretta sive carro comitatus Gloucestrie ferente res venales in eandem villam Gloucestrie ibidem vendendas, unum obolum;
et de qualibet caretta sive carro alterius comitatus ferente res venales in eandem villam Gloucestrie ibidem vendendas, unum denarium;
et de quolibet summagio rerum venalium ibidem vendendarum, preterquam de summagio busce, unum quadrantem;
et de quolibet equo, equa, bove et vacca venali illuc ductis ad vendendurn, unum obolum;
et de x ovibus vel capris vel porcis venalibus illuc ductis ad vendendum, unum denarium;
et de quinque ovibus vel capris vel porcis, unum obolum;
et de qualibet nave veniente in eandem villam Gloucestrie per aquam Sabrinam carcata rebus venalibus ibidem vendendis, quatuor denarios;
et de quolibet dolio vini venali veniente in eandem villam Gloucestrie, j denarium; vel transeunte per eandem villam, j denarium;
ita tamen quod occasione hujus concessionis nostre de hujusmodi carettis, carris, summagiis, equis, equabus, bobus, vaccis, ovibus, capris vel porcis vel nave veniente in villam Gloucestrie ferente res venales, nichil capiatur post predictos tres annos completes, set statim completo termino illo cadat consuetude ilia et penitus aboleatur. Et ideo vobis mandamus quod in auxilium predicte ville claudende predictam consuetudinem capiatis usque ad terminum predictum, sicut predictum est.
