Waterford is said to have been given a grant of murage dated 1154 to 1189 but this report is rejected.

Inspeximus of a petition in Parliament of the Mayor and Commonalty for power to levy pontage, pannage (pound-age ?), murage, and toll, granted them by Henry II., from the tenants of the Hospitallers of St. John's of Jerusalem, who claim to be exempt from the same by a charter of the said King. 36 Edw. III. The petition is in French.

Either a highly dubious claim or an error for Henry III. Rejected as a murage grant by Henry II. If referring to Henry III then unclear which grant.
