Comments
a single grant made in 1356-7 for 20 years is the only known reference (CPCR Hen II-VII 65 no. 39-Bradley 54). (Thomas)
CIRCLE footnotes "This is the first of two items calendared in RCH as a bundle with the item-number range §§39-40. The letters are dated 'Teste ut supra' in reference to a previous item whose date is not given." The previous entry in Tresham is a murage grant to Dungarven, which is not dated, the entry prior to that is dated Waterf', 7 Dec. the grant after the three murage grants is given (on a transcription of a much damaged roll) as "T. { } Dec.". Roll entries as not always concurrent but here a date of 7 Dec seems entirely reasonable.
