Murage-1475-6: (and pavage) grant, tolls (of the usual type) allowed by the Irish parliament because 'Syddan' was on the 'frontier of the march and a key to that part of the country but not walled or enclosed, and the inhabitants unable to do so' (SR IV Ed IV 363-5). It was also allowed that, if the lord of the town or other impede the burgesses in possession or use of land, he must pay £40, half to the king and half to the walling etc.'. Accounting was required to the Bishop of Meath and the Abbot of St. Thomas' abbey, Dublin. (Thomas)
