Considering the robberies, extortions and oppressions sustained by the sovereign and commons of the town of Kilkenny sustain , GRANT to them for 20 years of customs from merchandise coming to that town for sale, according to the form and effect of letters patent dated 28 Jan. 2 Hen. IV made concerning this; and that an account of the same shall be rendered before two burgesses elected annually to this by the sovereign and commons of that town, and not elsewhere; with proviso that the said customs shall be expended upon the repair of the walls, bridge and pavements of the town.
