Brockhampton enclosure(s) has been described as a Timber Castle although is doubtful that it was such.

There are no visible remains.

Description

In 1932 the RCHM described the earthwork, on the south-east side of the road some 500m north of Fawley Court, as 'much ploughed down ... all that can now be seen is a slight sinking of indeterminate shape'. Previously the Ordnance Survey had shown it as being of roughly oval form. Recent aerial photographs show a camp clearly, but it is about 100m to the south of the earthwork mapped by the Ordnance Survey. This may be a separate site, the grid reference (SO588312) belonging to the OS site. (Shoesmith)
