Bristol was given a grant of murage dated 19/2/1255.

This was in the form of:-

Wording
Grant to Edward, the king's son, of murage for his town of Bristol from next Easter until Michaelmas, and for two years following; directed to the good men of Bristol.

Granted by Henry III. (Regnal year 39). Granted at Westminster.
