Carmarthen (Kaermerdin) was given a grant of murage dated 6/6/1234.

Wording
The king has committed to the good men of Kaermerdin the town of Kaermerdin to receive all the issues thereof until Michaelmas, 20 Henry III, so that these be applied to the fortification of the town by view and testimony of the king's constable of Kaermerdin or his deputy.
