Commission to the mayor and bailiffs of Suthampton to compel all those who have lands and rents in the town and others who stay there continually and live of their merchandise and take profit to contribute, each according to his state and faculties, towards the repair of the walls and turrets of the enclosure of the town; to take carpenters masons and other workmen for the work, and to imprison all those whom they find contrariant or rebellious in the premises until the king give other order touching them.
