Comments
Blomefield stated that a grant of murage was received in 1294, but this cannot be substantiated. (Turner)
In 1294, the walls of the city of Norwich were first began, and a murage granted, which expired in 1297, and then there was a patent passed for another murage (Blomfield) (No reference cited for 1294 murage although Pat A 26 E. 1. cited for 1297 murage.)
