They had 12 years murage in 1412 in the same terms (Coulson).
They had, presumably, reapplied for murage because of the accession of the new king. Was the reduction in period because Henry wanted to establish somewhat tighter control? Since they applied for their next grant in 1224 it may well be that this grant was not used and the town continued with the previous grant. Was the reapplication for a grant they did not need (and apparently did not use) purely to do with recognition and support of and from a new king?
