Comments
The licence to crenellate issued three days earlier (Calendar of Charter Rolls Vol. 5 p. 6-7) was revoked shortly afterward (per considerationem curie) and presumably the murage was not collected.
Quite a stiff fine; the licence was revoked prob. on episcopal objections (Coulson).
