Sciatis quod concessimus vobis in auxilium ville Eboraci ad securitatem et tuitionem ejusdem ville simul et partium adjacentium, quod capiatis a die Pentecostes anno regni nostri x usque ad festum Sancti Michaelis anno regni nostri xj,
de qualibet caretta sive carro comitatus Eboraci ferente res venales in eandem villam ibidem vendendas, unum obolum;
et de qualibet caretta sive carro alterius comitatus ferente res venales in eandem villam ibidem vendendas, unum denarium:
et de quolibet summagio rerum venalium ibidem vendendarum preterquam de summagio busche, unum quadrantem;
et de quolibet equo et equa et bove et vacca venali illuc ductis ad vendendum, unum obolum;
et de decem ovibus vel capris vel porcis venalibus illuc ductis ad vendendum, unum denarium;
et de quinque ovibus vel porcis vel capris, unum obolum;
et de qualibet nave veniente in villam Eboraci per aquam de Usa carcata rebus venalibus ibidem vendendis quatuor denarics.
Ita tamen quod occasione istius concessionis nostre de hujusmodi carettis, carris, summagiis, equis, equabiis, bobus, vaccis, ovibus, capris, vel porcis, vel nave veniente in villam Eboraci carcata rebus venalibus, nichil capiatur post predictum terminum completurn, set statim complete termino illo, cadat consuetude ilia et penitus aboleatur. Et ideo vobis mandamus quod in auxilium predicte ville claudende consuetudinem predictam capiatis usque ad predictum terminum completum, sicut predictum est.
Teste rege, apud Westmonasterium, xiiij die Maii, anno x, coram justiciario.
Mandatum est vicecomiti Eboraci quod hanc consuetudinem predictam per totara bailliam suam clamari faciat et firmiter observari, sicut predictum est.
Teste rege, apud Westmonasterium, ut supra.
