Comments
The former grant was from the Invention of St. Stephen (3 August - an obscure feast day) which the calendarists marked 'sic' although this date concurred with the date of the grant. Is 'Invention of the Cross' (3 May) an error by the original Chancery scribe or a 'correction' by the calendarist?
