Tralee (Traylli) was given a grant of murage dated 28/4/1286.

Grant to Thomas son of Maurice of murage for seven years for his towns of Traylli, Moyal and Ard.

Grant to Thomas Fitz Maurice that from the making of these presents until the end of 7 years he may take in aid of inclosing his vills of Traylli {Tralee}, Moyal {Mallow}, and Ard, for the security and safe keeping of those vills, and the neighbouring parts, the following {customs}, namely:-
from each quarter of wheat for sale, 1/2d.;
each horse and mare, ox and cow, 1/2d.;
each hide of horse, mare, ox, and cow, fresh, salt, or tanned, 1/4d.;
each cart carrying salt meat for sale, 3 halfpence;
5 pigs, 1/2d.;
10 gammons, 1/2d.;
each fresh salmon for sale, 1/4d.;
each lamprey for sale before Easter, 1/4d.;
10 sheep, goats, or hogs, 1d.;
10 fleeces for sale, 1/2d.;
100 skins of unshorn sheep, or skins of goats, stags, hinds, or fallow deer, male or female, 1d.;
100 skins of lambs, cheverils, hares, rabbits, foxes, cats, and squirrels for sale, 1/2d.;
each cartload of salt for sale, 1d.;
each horse-load of salt for sale by the week, 1/4d.;
each horse-load of cloth for sale, 1/2d.;
each whole cloth sold, 1/2d.;
each hundred of linen cloth { }
{each} hundred of Irish cloth sold, 1d.;
each cloth of silk with gold, samite Diapre and Baudekyn, 1/2d.;
each cloth of silk without gold, and Chef de Cendal lo affortiato, 1/4d.;
each cart-load of sea fish sold, 4d.;
each horse-load of sea fish sold, 1/2d.;
each hogshead of wine sold, 3 halfpence;
each horse-load of cinders for sale, 1/2d.;
each horse-load of honey for sale, 1d.;
each hogshead of honey for sale, 3d.;
each sack of wool for sale, 2d.;
each truss of cloth brought by a cart, 3d.;
each horse-load of cloth for sale, or of other diverse and minute articles for sale coming to the said vills, 1/2d.;
each cart-load of iron for sale, 1d.;
each cart-load of lead for sale, 2d.;
each horse-load of tan for sale, by the week, 1/2d.;
a hundred of avoirdupois, 1d.;
prisage of suet and grease for sale, 1d.;
each quarter of woad, 2d.;
each hundred of alum and copperas for sale, 1/2d.;
2,000 onions, 1/4d.;
each horse-load of garlic for sale, 1/2d.;
each each 1,000 herrings for sale, 1/4d.;
each hundred boards for sale, 1/2d.;
each mill-stone for sale, 1/2d.;
each quarter of salt for sale, 1/4d.;
each quarter of flour, 1/2d.;
each weigh of cheese and butter for sale, 1/2d.;
each dozen horse-loads of coals for sale, 1/2d.;
each cart-load of brushwood for sale by the week, 1/2d.;
each horse horse-load of brushwood by the week, 1/4d.;
each caldron for brewing, 1/2d.;
each bale of cordwain for sale, 3d.;
each ship laden with brushwood for sale, 1/2d.;
each 1,000 nails for the roofs of houses, on sale, 1/4d.;
each 100 horse-shoes and clicti for carts, on sale, 1/2d.;
2,000 of any kind of nail, on sale, except nails for carts and for roofs on houses, 1/4d.;
and from each truss of any kind of merchandise, on sale, coming to the vills aforesaid, and exceeding the value of 2s., 1/4d.
On completion of the term of 7 years the custom shall cease and be abolished. Westminster {Pat., 14 Edw. I., m. 14.}
