Allocate to the citizens of Hereford, in the farm of their town, 20l. for the Michaelmas term in the 49th year, 40l. for the Easter and Michaelmas terms in the year following, and 40l. for the Easter and Michaelmas terms after that, granted to them of the king's special favour for the damage and loss sustained during the recent disturbance in the realm, and for their expenses in the amendment and defence of the town.
