Comments
In the later Middle Ages there is evidence that murage was granted fairly constantly, for example in 1348 and 1381 (MCI 75-6). (Thomas)
That charter was recited in and ratified and confirmed by an Act of a Parliament, held at Limerick, in the 22 Edw. III., with a condition that two of the burgesses living in the town should be appointed, one by the Lord Coursey and the other by the town, who should see the customs, revenues, and profits of the town expended upon its walls and fortresses. The above Act was exemplified by patent of the 15th February, 22 Edw. III. (A.D. 1348-49); and the charter of Elizabeth contains an inspeximus of the exemplification. (MCI)
Not a new grant but evidence that the murage was vested and being collected.
Not in CIRCLE although context of MCI would suggest was a Dublin roll. Not indexed in English patent rolls.
