Scarborough may have been given a grant of murage dated 12/3/1264.

Extension to the bailiffs and burgesses of Scardeburg, for three years from St. Gregory next, of the murage which the king granted to them by letters patent more than four years ago for a term of five years, for the defence of their town and the quay of their port.

Comments
The last recorded grant had ended in 1257. It was for 5 years but if this was the last grant there would be no reason for the delay in starting the grant of 1268. Therefore I believe this is evidence of a lost grant of 5 years due to expire on the eve of St Gregory 1269. There is no record of quayage, or other such grant for Scarborough at this date in the CPR.
