Grant to the mayor, bailiffs and citizens of the city of Waterford in Ireland, who hold the city of the king by fee farm of 100 marks yearly, because the city has been impoverished for the past six years by ill success in trade and loss of goods of the citizens and the death and capture of divers merchants of the city and there is no law, justice or government around the city but murder, robbery and war by the Irish and rebel English, so that they can hardly keep the city or repair its walls and port, of the reversion of the annuity of 10l. which Nicholas Strangwissh has of the said fee farm of the grant of Henry VI. or of the king, whenever it shall come into the king's hands by his death or otherwise.
