6 May. 1320Dublin
Because the citizens of the city of Limerick for various reasons are so impoverished that all the goods of the city are scarcely enough to guard the city against the Irish felons and to repair the walls, which are clearly threatened with ruin, it has been agreed by the council in the present parliament at Dublin that nothing of the farm of the city shall be levied from them at present, but that the T. and barons of the Ex. cease doing so until otherwise ordered.
Attested: Roger Mortimer, Jcr of Ire.
Authorized: By bill of the Jcr.

Concordat' est per cons' Regis in instanti parliamento apud Dub' quod de firma civit' Lym' (que diversis ex causis adeo depauperata est quod vix sufficiunt omnia bona ej' ad ipsam custodiend'), nihil ad presens levetur. Dub', 6 Maii.
Granted by Edward II. (Regnal year 13). Granted at Dublin. Granted by Rogero de mortuo mari Justic' Hibern.

In 1310 and 1322 grants of murage were made for repairing the fortifications, the last year being soon after the terrifying extinction of the Norman colony at Dysert in 1318 and the burning of Bunratty. (Westropp)
A couple of short grants followed in the early 1320's for repair of the town walls, bridge and castle (CPI 52), (Thomas)
