Comments
The petition is given a date range of 1314-1336, but it has to date to one or the other of these dates as licences were granted for 3 and 5 years in these years (CPR 1313-17, p.93; CPR 1334-8, p.194). Unfortunately, it is not clear from the hand which is the more likely. (National Archive note)
On the bases of the absence of the mayor from the petition I attribute this to 1314.
