There is associated evidence for murage, dated 11/9/1358, concerning Chester.

Wording
Order to the keepers of the murage of the city of Cestre,–inasmuch as the prince by advice of his council has granted to John de Tichemerssh, his mason, the supervision of the works of the said murage, with 4d. a day for his wages over and above the 6d. which he receives from the prince at present,–to pay the said John 4d. daily out of the moneys arising from the said murage for as long as he shall have the said supervision.
