The petition is dated to 1298-c. 1305 as the petition almost certainly follows on from one of the grants of murage made to the bailiffs and men of Norwich in 1298 and 1305 (CPR 1292-1301, p.327; CPR 1301-7, p.317). (National Archive note)
How was it a nuisance to the people of Heigham? Impediment of trade? Loss of agricultural land?
