A fair basic gazetteer of Derbyshires's castles and a couple of medieval manor houses (Haddon Hall and Wingfield), not well illustrated but some nice quotes from primary sources. The inclusion of Tutbury, Nottingham and Ashby Castles appears to be little more than padding for what is a slim volume.
